Their story is a testament to the transformative power of chiropractic care, addressing various health concerns from rib injuries to migraine relief, prenatal care, and pediatric chiropractic for their newborn. We're excited to share their journey with you. ## The Beginning: Jess's Rib Injury and Migraine Relief Jess first came to our office seeking help for a rib injury. Shortly after, she discovered she was pregnant and shared her lifelong struggle with migraines. Determined to avoid migraine medication during her pregnancy, Jess turned to Dr. Derek for alternative solutions. Through a combination of chiropractic adjustments, supplements, stretching, food logging, and discussions on migraine triggers, Jess experienced a significant reduction in her migraines. What once was a debilitating condition, with up to eight migraines a month, transformed into an occasional inconvenience, sometimes going months without a single migraine. ## Prenatal Chiropractic Care During her pregnancy, Jess benefited from chiropractic care for physical discomforts like pelvic and back pain. Dr. Derek's holistic approach ensured she stayed comfortable and healthy throughout her pregnancy, further contributing to her overall well-being. ## Pediatric Chiropractic for Baby Kaia The benefits of chiropractic care extended to their newborn, Kaia. After a challenging four-day labor, Kaia had difficulty latching for breastfeeding. The midwife recommended a pediatric dentist, who suggested craniosacral therapy instead of addressing a tongue tie. Dr. Derek provided this therapy, offering house visits when Kaia was just eight days old. The results were immediate and remarkable. Kaia's latch improved significantly after just a few sessions, transforming breastfeeding from a painful struggle to a successful and bonding experience for Jess and Kaia. ## How Adjustments Differed Jess initially worried that the adjustments for Kaia would be similar to the more forceful neck adjustments she received for migraines. However, pediatric chiropractic adjustments are gentle and involve soft pressure on specific points along the baby's spine and body. Kaia enjoyed these sessions, often relaxing or even falling asleep during them. ## A Family's Quality of Life Transformed The Jones family's life has improved dramatically thanks to chiropractic care. Jess's reduction in migraines allowed her to be more present and engaged both at work and home.
